Pick up the phone and answer the call
I'm sure of you, I know you'll stand tall.
Put on the mask and don the cape
only can fulfill your fate.
Without fear you can't be brave,
and you have  a whole world to save.

Be the heroine.

This was a reply I made to Dollyprincess who I think is a beautiful model and as far as I know a wonderful person.  I think all young women are capable of being their own heroes, but after a lifetime I know we all need someone to lean on, and we are all here so we can help each other and be helped by each other.  So if its alright I can be the sidekick.

Death came upon a day so clear,
to the land of the eagle that had no fear.
Those evil ones dedicated to death,
struck at our home with deadly breath.
Another day of infamy,
visited to the shores of the land of the free

Stretched to the sky, the towers of light,
a five sided building of martial might.
Men, women and children, all passengers on doomed flight,
Attacked by demons proclaiming Islam’s plight

The towers of power, they did quickly fall.
A cry from the people.  Rally!  Stand tall!
This attack of sick and evil blight,
only strengthened our resolve and the will to fight.
A city covered in ash and fire,
a need for revenge, a dark desire.
A giant awakened to war once more,
set to the task to even the score.
To route the protectors of terror and tyranny,
a solemn resolve for the world to see.

We know that freedom is not free,
and vigilance, the price of liberty.
The lessons of the past renewed in blood once more,
of the dangers that lurk darkly beyond our shore.

To those who stand in harm’s way,
to protect and serve us all, day by day.
To those heroes who live in and among us,
now set on the mission to do what they must.
To bring to account the perpetrators of hate,
the need for justice they must sate.
Forget not the servants of liberty,
for they are the ones, who toil for us to be free.

We all are the people, who struggle and yearn to be free,
those born to this land, and those who came in search of liberty,
to be free from the yoke of hatred and tyranny.
Hand in hand, united we all stand.
And we will endure.


A poem of 9-11, a remembrance and a dedication to those who fought, who fell, and who brought justice to the victims of that crime.
I originally wrote this poem while I was studying for my degree and dedicated it to my family.  It has been modified slightly in this edition.

For those who Pose
I wish to thank
For that hope, that need to fill the blank,
The page, the canvas, the screen, the shot
The chance to create where there was not
The desire, the fire, the ire, the envy, the hope,
the lust, the wonder and with all that we grope.
You bring to us this presence, this beauty, this power and style
So thus it is our trial, to capture your elusive Mona Lisa’s smile
For in you, is the essence of our art
As we try to capture what is in our heart
And open the eyes of the world to see
What we did together you and me
The art that makes the world so real
Together we created, for the world to feel

I love art, I love all you wonderful artist and admire your work.  I strive to be as good as you, I am inspired by you.  I love all the mediums you work with.  I love that many of you share your techniques, so that others can utilize them.  I guess I have to force myself to write down and share how I do things especially in this online world, it is a lot easier when someone is with me to give my ideas, when I'm creating I try to look for inspiration and don't write anything.
I recently did a piece called RED it was inspired by a photo of a model with beautiful red hair and the pose she was in.  It was the curves and the color that did it for me and I felt compelled to do it.  To all of you that model, my many thanks for the inspiration you provide.  To all the photographer/artist thank for your vision and inspiration.
